On February 11th. 2022, we released Aligned Elements V2.5 SP 7 (2.5.377/148.19484).

Reason for this Version

This is a hotfix for V2.5 SP 6, mitigating some important errors in that version.

Windows Client – Fixes

  • 9562 Traces made in branch not correctly merged to trunk
  • 9568 IsSuspect incons do not appear in Positive Cues
  • 9569 Check for null before accessing the revision history entries

Web Client – Enhancements

  • 9567 Increase cache time to avoid the page has been modified by a different user

Web Client – Fixes

  • 9565 Assign configurations in test run. Save failed! Index was outside the bounds of the array
  • 9563 NRPN does not show up in FMEA
  • 9570 Wizards on the web. Yes No Step always returns the default answer
  • 9559 GapForm recent comments not visible when content in form is large
  • 9561 Trace tables with advanced mode, the Parent column is not shown in edit mode after creation

Upgrading from previous versions

Aligned Elements V2.5 SP 7 is backward compatible with Aligned Elements V2.4 and earlier. Opening a project for the first time with a new client will initiate a conversion of some of the internal data to a more performant structure. The data integrity is intact and no information will be altered.

Note! As of Aligned Elements V2.5 SP 2, the User Group management contains a new User Group right for Locking / Unlocking objects. When upgrading a project from versions earlier than V2.5 SP 2, this right will be added to the project. The change causes a Message Box saying "Templates have changed. Database will be upgraded." Click "Yes" to proceed (our recommendation) and upgrade the project.

Note! As of Aligned Elements V2.5, newly created Users must do their first log in within 5 days of the user creation date! If more than 5 days pass, a Project Administrator must reset the created user’s password to grant the user a new window of 5 days to do the initial login.

Installation

Aligned Elements V2.5 SP 7 Windows Client is available on our website for download as a standalone installer.

For MS Word x64 bit compatibility, use the designated setup on our website.

For setting up the Aligned Elements Web Server, contact us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

To install using the standalone windows installer:

Uninstall any installed version of Aligned Elements on your computer.

Unzip the file and click setup.exe to install.
